• Have a unique badge serial number in the upper right corner - a combination of two letters followed by five numbers
• LANL site-specific badges always read
  • On the left side: LANL ONLY
  • At the top: Los Alamos National Laboratory
• DOE Standard Badge always reads, at the top:

In addition, LANL-issued badges with a personal name:

• Are accountable and must be returned when no longer needed or badgeholder will be denied all further badging services
• Display a Z number in the bottom white band of the badge
• Show the name in the center of the badge (given names in upper/lower case, last name in all upper case)
