In May 1998, ordering of badge accessories and supplies for use with Badge Office-issued badges became available through the Laboratory’s JIT (Just-In-Time) ordering system, as announced in a Laboratory-wide memorandum .

When the Badge Office issues a badge to someone who has never had a badge before, a basic neck lanyard and clip will be included.  Badgeholders may also get a replacement for a lost or broken lanyard, clip, etc.

However, Groups that want to maintain their own bulk supplies for their employees, or wish alternatives to the "standard-issue" items may use the JIT system.

Badge Office accessories and supplies are available from J.A.M. Plastics, Inc. through the Boise Cascade (505/345-8047) catalog. Customers may search this catalog by specific words in the description or by the Boise Cascade part number. Boise Cascade maintains all stock items in current inventory. Non-stock items are available but are generally more costly and take longer for delivery. They may be determined though to be a better value in the long run. Contact Boise-Cascade to purchase a new non-stock item.
