When you are requested to furnish identification with photograph, one of the following will be accepted by the Badge Office in order to badge you.

NOTE: The purpose of photo identification is to ensure Badge Office specialists that you are whom you claim to be. If the information on the identification presented or the photograph cannot support this purpose, you may be asked to provide another form of valid photo identification.

For U.S. citizens qualifying for a…
DOE Standard badge, Temporary badge, Visitor badge (cleared and uncleared), or Escort Required badge, and for cleared foreign nationals qualifying for a cleared Visitor badge:
	Current U.S. driver's license
	Current passport (U.S. or other national government, international organization)
	A current or expired LANL-issued photo badge (provided the expiration date did not occur more than one month before the date the badge is presented for identification)
	A valid DOE Standard badge from another DOE site
	Current identification card issued in lieu of a driver's license by a U.S. state
	Current identification card or badge issued by an agency of the U.S. government
	FOR CURRENT DOE STANDARD BADGEHOLDERS ONLY: Digital photo on file in the badging system will be accepted when requesting a Temporary badge
	FOR STUDENTS ONLY: Current ID card from student's educational institution if obtaining an UNCLEARED badge
For uncleared foreign nationals:
	Current passport from country of citizenship
	Resident alien card
	Current LANL-issued Uncleared Foreign National badge
	FOR CURRENT ASSIGNEES ONLY: Digital photo on file in the badging system will be accepted when requesting a Temporary Uncleared Foreign National badge
	FOR DUAL CITIZENS: Current passport from that country of citizenship that contains the U.S. visa
	FOR CITIZENS OF CANADA and MEXICO: In addition to the types of  photoidentification listed in this section, any type of photoidentification listed above for U.S. citizens qualifying for a DOE Standard badge, etc., will be accepted
The following are not accepted:
	Expired driver's license or passport
	International driver's license
	Employer issued identification card (except from an agency of the U.S. government)
	INS-issued employment authorization card (for uncleared foreign nationals)
	Photocopy of any identification listed above as valid
